Shivtey Israel 16-18

This project is the outcome of a collaborative design process between Studio Gimmel, the development team, tenants, and municipal planning authorities. Its objective is to provide a variety of modern living and retail spaces within the historical core of Jaffa.

Due to the complex and layered urban context, the project required a careful and strategic approach. To address the challenges of building at a large scale within a sensitive urban fabric, the design team reimagined traditional building typologies and architectural elements.

The project seeks to optimize land use and enhance urban living spaces in accordance with municipal densification schemes. By revitalizing this significant street corner, the project aims to rejuvenate its immediate surroundings and contribute to the vibrancy of the community.
